What Are Donations Used For?

Your donations will help Stop Soldier Suicide get Soldiers and Veterans the help they need.  We are raising funds to create a Contact Center that will be staffed with volunteer Active-duty Soldiers and Veterans who understand the military perspective. Many times the trigger for a Soldier or Veteran taking their life is a single, “final-straw” event such as a relationship issue or financial, housing or job worry and of course, PTSD or some other cause that requires mental healthcare. We have a network of partners and resources that provide free help for all of these issues. Our flexible, non-bureaucratic nature allows us to adapt to the needs of those we serve and help intervene on a case by case basis.

And, because we are a completely volunteer-run organization, we have minimal overhead costs so your donations go directly to the cause.

How Can I Volunteer?

In addition to donations, we need volunteers. Please visit our Local Chapters tab on this website to find a chapter in your area that needs volunteer help.  If there is not a chapter in your area, contact our Director of Outreach at adam.buchanan@stopsoldiersuicide.com to see how you can contribute.
